Friday, July 25 -- Day One

  • 3 to 5 p.m. -- Convention check-in
  • 4 to 7 p.m. -- Welcome Reception on the Sun Deck (hosted by British Columbia DX Club)
  • 7 to 9 p.m. -- Dinner on your own (dozens of choices close by)
  • 9 to midnight -- Hospitality Suite (hosted by BCDXC and Orca DXCC)

 

Saturday, July 26 -- Day Two

  • 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. -- Convention check-in
  • 8:30 a.m. -- Welcome and opening remarks ("Remember the magic")
  • 9 to 12 noon -- Scheduled programs
  • 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. -- Lunch on your own (dozens of choices close by)
  • 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. -- Scheduled programs
  • 6 to 7 p.m. -- No-host bar open on the Sun Deck
  • 7 p.m. -- Buffet dinner (incl. great vegetarian options), after-dinner speaker Dr. Ken Tapping (Remembering the Magic), and major prize draw
  • 9:30 to midnight -- Hospitality Suite (hosted by BCDXC and Orca DXCC)

 

Sunday, July 27 -- Day Three

  • 9 a.m. -- Buffet brunch
  • 9:30 a.m. -- Scheduled presentation
  • 10 a.m. -- Closing remarks, Sunday prize draw, and hand-off for PNW DX Convention 2015
  • 12 noon to 3 p.m. -- Radio Amateurs of Canada AGM (members of RAC welcome to attend)

Pacific Northwest DX Convention

The PNW DX Convention has been held every summer since 1955 with the sponsorship rotating between:

 

This year's 59th annual DX Convention is hosted by the Orca DX and Contest Club, which formed in 2010 and now welcomes the privilege of hosting the conference when it is in British Columbia every fourth year.

 

Together, these clubs have upheld the rich traditions of amateur radio and the pursuit of DX through five solar cycles. Over the decades, we have enjoyed wonderful friendships and the very special international cameraderie that ham radio fosters in the Pacific Northwest and around the world.
